Troubled waters: how two communities in South Sudan made peace over fishing rights

In this case study, we look at two communities in bordering counties in South Sudan who have spent decades in conflict over cattle grazing and fishing rights, often leading to violence and property destruction. We see how Gender Engagement Call, a women-led organisation supported by Saferworld, brought them together to remember the positive side of their long history and set aside their differences, creating a peaceful environment for people fishing along their shared waterways.
