Localising change: A roadmap for strengthening Yemeni civil society

Ongoing conflict in Yemen has created a challenging environment for civil society organisations, who face resource scarcity, weak security and fragmented partnerships. Despite this, they remain pivotal in promoting good governance, development and peacebuilding.

Drawing on a study of over a hundred Yemeni civil society organisations, hubs and networks across seven governorates, this short briefing presents people’s insights into the challenges they face and the steps that international NGOs, donors and local authorities can take to support them to address community needs and build resilience.
