Challenging harmful gender norms for better mental health and peace among women and girls in the Wunlit Triangle, South Sudan
Funded by the United Nations Secretary-General’s Peacebuilding Fund, this project aims to understand and address the specific gendered mental health concerns and barriers to women’s and girls’ effective participation in all aspects of economic, political and social decision-making processes.
With partners – Women Development Group, Women Initiative for Development Organisation, Women Vision and Voice for Change – we are improving access to mental health and psychosocial support and gender-based violence referral pathways, and engaging with government and authorities to influence policies that improve freedom from gender-based violence caused by conflict in the Wunlit Triangle region.
