New Conflict Sensitivity Facility Sudan website launches
21 January 2025The Conflict Sensitivity Facility – Sudan (CSF) today launches its newly designed website.
Saferworld established the CSF in Khartoum, Sudan in 2021. With funding from the European Union and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, it supports both Sudanese and international organisations working in Sudan to understand how their work impacts on conflict dynamics and how they can ensure their activities avoid harm and contribute to long term peace.
The dual-language website is now fully optimised for mobile devices, easier to navigate, and boasts an improved knowledge hub, offering a comprehensive collection of materials allowing aid actors to implement more conflict-sensitive programming.
CSF Director, Basil Daffalla, writes:
"At CSF, digital outreach has always been a crucial part of how we connect with different stakeholders, both in Sudan and abroad. Before the war, we were able to engage with a diverse range of actors to promote the CSF, share messaging, and interact with other online initiatives. Different platforms allowed us to reach a broader audience, and we were especially proud of the level of engagement from Sudanese, particularly Arabic-speaking Sudanese, interested in conflict sensitivity and our work. They remain one of our most engaged audiences, and we benefit greatly from their feedback and ideas.
"Now, with so many Sudanese displaced around the world and impacted by the crisis, our online presence is more important than ever. It’s not just about sharing resources; it’s about maintaining connections, listening to different perspectives, and being a constant in an ever-changing space."
The website was designed and developed by Ndani Technologies.
