International Day of Peace: Building social accountability and civil participation in Yemen
21 September 2024Community policing approaches in Yemen are making it easier for women to access to security services and bringing communities, local authorities and civil society together to improve infrastructure.
In this video, you’ll hear from our partners the National Organisation for Community Development (NODS) Yemen, Youth Without Borders (YWBOD), community members and local authorities as they share their experiences, insights and successes of holding authorities to account to make their communities safer.
As part of our approach to locally led peacebuilding, Saferworld and partners support projects that encourage people to build cooperative relationships with each other, with civil society organisations and with authorities.
