Over the past decade, Saferworld has worked with communities in Yemen to tackle the root causes of conflict and foster peace. Saferworld and partners – PASS Foundation (Peace for Sustainable Societies), Youth Without Borders Organization for Development and the National Organisation for Community Development – have bridged community-led efforts with national and international advocacy, from forming local peace councils and women’s coalitions to addressing urgent issues like cybercrime and juvenile justice.
Watch our video to find out how Yemeni-led projects are helping to create safer and more resilient communities, bringing people together in the process.
By championing local voices and encouraging inclusive collaboration, Saferworld is helping communities to forge their own pathways to peace. This approach builds a strong foundation for sustainable development and contributes to building towards long-term stability in Yemen and to a future rooted in security, unity and hope.
