How do young people in Kyrgyzstan build self-discipline, challenge stereotypes and drive positive change in their communities? In southern Kyrgyzstan, Saferworld and partners Association of Women Entrepreneurs Foundation (DIA) and Peace Initiatives (PI) have been working with young people to strengthen self-confidence, improve wellbeing and encourage active participation in community life. Through youth-led initiatives, mental health support, and opportunities for civic engagement, these young people are tackling challenges head-on.
This podcast series brings together real stories and expert insights from across the region. Each episode explores practical ways to overcome personal and social barriers, from boosting motivation and focus to addressing gender expectations, marginalisation and family pressures.
Our guests include practitioners and youth leaders who share advice on building resilience, finding purpose and taking small, meaningful steps toward personal growth and positive change.
