How does Saferworld use your information?
Saferworld uses the information we collect about you to help us understand more about how the site is used and to be able to provide you with information that you request from us or which we feel may interest you, where you have consented to be contacted for such purposes.
Who is collecting information?
When you provide personal information to the Saferworld website, you are sharing that information with Saferworld alone unless stated otherwise. For example, when you are using our secure online donation pages you are going through to PayPal. It is clear on the donation page when you are going through to the PayPal site.
With whom does Saferworld share your information?
Saferworld will not disclose any of your personally identifiable information, except when we have your permission or under special circumstances, such as when we believe in good faith that the law requires it. Information submitted to us is only available to employees managing this information for purposes of sending you emails based on your request for information. When you are using our secure online donation pages, you are going through to a partner company and the information you give such as your credit card number and contact information is provided so that the transaction can take place.
How long does Saferworld keep your information?
For emails sent to our public email addresses (including through the contact forms), we have a retention policy of three years. This means that after three years have passed, any emails sent to these public addresses will be automatically deleted. For job application forms, we will keep your data for up to two years. By law, we are required to keep data on financial transactions such as donations for up to six years, after which it will be erased. If you would like us to remove any of your information before this, you can get in touch with us and we will do our best to comply with your request within a week.
How does Saferworld protect your personal information?
